About the Metro Women’s Business Center
Located at LunaSpeiz in San Juan, this program, funded partially by the Small Business Administration, provides comprehensive training and resources for women entrepreneurs in the San Juan-Bayamón Metro area. The business center provides important resources to women entrepreneurs wherever they are in their process, from support through the conceptual stage to creating a startup business, through the path of achieving sustainability. Additionally, the center supports established women entrepreneurs to help maximize the growth potential of their existing businesses.

2022
On February 25th the Metro Women’s Business Center opened its doors on the third floor of the new Student Center at the University of Puerto Rico’s Bayamón campus.
The Center launched the Metro Business Jumpstart program to help entrepreneurs learn the 7 key steps to register their business in Puerto Rico.

2023
The first Metro Women’s Business Leadership Summit took place in Washington, DC.
The Center launches the first cohort of the Kauffman FastTrac program in Puerto Rico. xx students graduated.
The first edition of “Mujer Capital” connects entrepreneurs with financial lenders.

“Kauffman FastTrac” equips aspiring entrepreneurs with the business skills and insights, tools, resources, and peer networks necessary to start and grow successful businesses.
“Mujer Capital” is a one-day event focused on connecting financial entities with Latina women entrepreneurs who have business plans and seek capital or existing businesses needing funds to expand.
