2021 SEEDS youth entrepreneurship program phase II launch

Over 50 students of 9+ began the second phase of our STEAM-based youth entrepreneurship SEEDS program.

The program launch was celebrated on Saturday, January 30, and was attended by the award-winning team of The Biz Nation, our curriculum partner, and Alberto Cordero, a technology and hotel entrepreneur. Alberto was our main speaker and shared his story with our young leaders. He encouraged our entrepreneurs to work with a passion for their dreams, trust their instincts and never replace hard work as a fundamental part of the formula for success.

REVIVE THE MOMENT!

"Follow your dreams, even if the people tell you that you are crazy."

Make sure the crazy idea makes financial sense.

Bring the secret sauce to your dream, what is the special ingredient to your idea?. And work hard".

– Alberto Cordero. Entrepreneur

This year’s curriculum is at the forefront of education and has been adapted to the COVID 19 challenges with a focus on financial intelligence, digital marketing, and neuroscience as a platform to develop entrepreneurship.

Youth Entrepreneurs from public schools in Aibonito, Vieques, Barranquitas, Toa Baja, and Guaynabo will undergo training for five months to continue developing the businesses that they launched in the first phase and keep in operation.

Classes include practical and theoretical sessions as well as having a mentor per student, who will provide them with first-hand tools and knowledge in a personalized way.

Phase II will serve as a path for us to continue building economic opportunities through entrepreneurship.

You can get involved by supporting the next generation of entrepreneurs from Puerto Rico.
