An evening to honor the people of Puerto Rico
Following the damage of Hurricane Fiona, the spirit of solidarity awoke among its people across the globe with a philanthropic soul. Many of us live outside the country, but we still want to find some way to help our people get back on their feet from a distance. Friends of Puerto Rico is teaming up with other charities like PRXPR and Techos Pa Mi Gente, and has created a charity event called AN EVENING TO HONOR THE PEOPLE OF PUERTO RICO.
The purpose of this evening is to direct the income collected among attendees, to benefit these three organizations that are in Puerto Rico supporting the recovery from Hurricane Fiona.
The event will be held at the well-known Immigrant Food restaurant in Washington DC and the night will include a delicious dinner prepared by the team of Michelin star Chef, Enrique Limardo. It will be a night dedicated to those affected by the hurricane. Full of good energy, we will help the most vulnerable and affected individuals get back on their feet.
Anyone who wants to be part of this support network and pay tribute to "our people from Puerto Rico", can purchase their tickets now. Your purchase will go towards a wonderful and noble cause.
Just write to rsvp@ friendsofpuertorico.org for all the details. Let's be part of the change and celebrate the abundance of our island!
