New RESPOND Program to Support Small Businesses in Aguadilla, San Sebastián, and Las Marías Puerto Rico
At Friends of Puerto Rico, we’re already working with small businesses in the western region of the island through RESPOND, a program supported by the U.S. Department of Commerce and the Economic Development Administration (EDA).
This initiative directly impacts entrepreneurs in Aguadilla, San Sebastián, and Las Marías, with the goal of:
Strengthening their digital presence
Providing technical assistance and access to capital
Retaining 275 jobs and creating opportunities for local economic development
We launched RESPOND during the panel discussion "Future-Ready Puerto Rico: A Digital Workforce Economy", alongside the Secretary of Economic Development, Hon. Sebastián Negrón Reichard, and leaders in innovation and entrepreneurship.
We’re already in action and looking for more businesses ready to grow with us — and for partners who believe in Puerto Rico’s economic future.
