SEEDS Biz Marketplace in Old San Juan

On the International Day of Happiness, March 21st, we celebrated the first SEEDS Biz Marketplace in Old San Juan. Our SEEDS entrepreneurs brought their handmade artisanal products that are all made in Puerto Rico. Hundreds of families and tourists got to shop and support a youth entrepreneur.

Our SEEDS Biz Marketplace in Plaza Darsenas had products from over 10 businesses of the 25 that were created by our students from the public schools of Aibonito, Barranquitas, Vieques, Toa Baja, and Guaynabo.

"In keeping with established biosafety protocols, we celebrated entrepreneurship and education as a tool for the development of our island. What a better way to be happy than to support our young students? " said Angelique Sina, President of Friends of Puerto Rico.

The event was conducive for Telemundo Puerto Rico to interview two of our entrepreneurs.

Our young entrepreneurs, ages 9 to 12 years, practiced their knowledge in sales, neuro-marketing, public speaking, and finance as part of a 31-week curriculum.

The attendees also supported this new generation of entrepreneurs in Puerto Rico by purchasing products that range from culinary, artistic to artisanal.

Also, the attendants tasted Café Ama Love, our social impact coffee whose sales support the program.

SEEDS is an after-school educational program that teaches public school children how to run a small business from scratch. SEEDS allows students to tackle real-world business problems and participate in a mentoring program with business leaders on and off the island.

Join us at our next event on April 25th where you can also support this new generation of leaders by purchasing their products.

You can be part of the change by sponsor a scholar, shopping for their products, or donating.
