NEWS FROM SEEDS: A MOTHER AND DAUGHTER CONNECT

SEEDS student, Marielys and her mom, Vanessa

In San Juan, we met Vanessa, Marielys’s mom. She shared that she didn’t think twice when it came to enrolling Marielys in our SEEDS program because she wanted her to get out of her comfort zone and meet new people. Just like Marielys, she was shy when younger but because of school programs, she was able to become more outgoing. Vanessa was even an entrepreneur herself, she would use to craft and sell hair bows! She hopes that after SEEDS, her daughter goes after business ideas she wants to pursue, just like she did.
