Aguadilla Emprende con AMIGAS
By Alejandra Martínez and Nashaley Adorno de León, Friends of Puerto Rico Development Intern
An unprecedented activity in the west of Puerto Rico! “Aguadilla Emprende con AMIGAS” was celebrated from November 19-21. A start-up weekend with a Pitch competition, in which Friends of Puerto Rico granted seed capital from $500 to $1,000 to three women entrepreneurs. More than 20 entrepreneurs received training and tools to validate their projects and develop their ideas with the expertise of the Centro para Emprendedores incredible team.
The event organized by Friends of Puerto Rico in collaboration with the Centro para Emprendedores, the Municipality of Aguadilla, and the Aguadilla First Lady Office, Dr. Grissel Villanueva Respeto, offers three days full of knowledge with practical and intense workshops, inspiring testimonials, a lot of networking and smiles. Cafe Ama Love and The Coffee Spot joined us through the weekend with their delicious flavors.
Thank you to the participants, judges, allies, and friends for making this activity possible on the west of our island.
